Funeral arrangements announced for South Carolina father killed in Florida State campus shooting
Tiru Chabba is survived by his wife and two children
COLUMBIA, SC. (WCTV) - The funeral arrangements for a 45-year-old South Carolina man who lost his life nearly a week ago in a shooting on Florida State University’s campus have been announced.
Tiru Chabba’s funeral is expected to be laid to rest Friday at the Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, located at 1 Pine Knoll Drive in Greenville, South Carolina, according to his family.
Chabba is survived by his wife and two children, according to a statement from Wukela Communications sent on behalf of his family.
The South Carolina father was one of two men killed after 20-year-old Florida State student Phoenix Ikner fired shots on the university’s campus Thursday.
Six others were injured, including Ikner, according to authorities. This week, five patients have been discharged from Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
The hospital would not confirm whether or not the remaining patient is the gunman.
