MAFS Australia's biggest villains ever now - sexism, flogging pics and finding love

Married At First Sight Australia is one of the best reality shows on television, with each year getting more dramatic and some cast members outdoing each other as the worst person on TV

It's been 10 years since Married At First Sight Australia burst onto screens.

Way back when, it was nothing like the weeks-long show we have now. The first three seasons had less than 10 episodes each, which is crazy considering the most recent Aussie series had a whopping 40.

The show has really blown up in the UK over the past few years, and it's easy to see why.

There's been cheating chaos, wife and husband swaps, secrets being exposed and just general bad behaviour.

This year, it's safe to say the villain was Jacqui Burfoot, whose up and down reactions, dramatic tears and devious ways often left fans furious. She shocked viewers and her co-stars when she revealed her relationship with fellow participant Clint Rice, and judging by Instagram they're still going strong.

But what about the villains of years gone by? Daily Star takes a look.

Harrison Boon

Harrison goes down as one of the most unliked grooms ever on MAFS Australia. He'd been matched with Bronte Schofield during the 2023 season, who discovered he might not actually have been single.

Since then, he really took ownership of the villain title, spreading very questionable messages, usually misogynistic, online, while also taking aim at Aussie feminists.

His Instagram nowadays is filled with posts of the same theme, seemingly painting men as victims of oppression, which... yeah.

However it seems he's managed to find one woman who he likes, as he got engaged to his partner Gina in October last year.

She rarely appears on his Instagram. He says it's because she's "private", and not because she doesn't want to be publicly associated with him.

Jessika Power

Jessika appeared on season six in 2019 and was partnered with Mick Gould. But their romance was doomed, especially when Dan Webb entered the process.

After their cheating scandal exploded, they left their co-stars stunned when they announced they wanted to continue their relationship on the show. However, it didn't last.

Since then, she's one of the few Married At First Sight stars to extend their 15 minutes on television.

She starred on the Australian version of Celebrity Big Brother, known as Big Brother VIP, in 2021.

After her season of MAFS aired in the UK, she then popped up over here on Celebs Go Dating in 2022, then joined the cast of Celebrity Ex On The Beach in 2024.

She also opened up an account on a certain online subscription site, and at one point was making around £86,000 a month.

Sadly, it seems her love life still isn't as successful.

Earlier this year, she announced that she had split from her boyfriend Ryan just weeks after they went Instagram official.

Ines Basic

Ines was someone fans couldn't wrap their heads around. She was also on season six, like many others on this list.

She had been married to Bronson Norrish, saying he looked "inbred" and mocking his eyebrow piercing. Nobody was surprised when things didn't work out, but she still shocked fans when she cheated on. him with co-star Sam Ball (more on him next).

Since the show, she's been doing her thing on Instagram and OF, apparently making $43,000 a month at one point.

Sam Ball

Sam was the other half of the partner swap with Ines. He'd been matched with Lizzie Sobinoff, but fans were horrified when he said: "I've never really dated girls as big as Elizabeth in the past."

He later claimed producers pushed him to say that, until the way he answered "the way they want you to answer".

Needless to say their relationship didn't last. And as if anyone was surprised, neither did his romance with Ines.

Afterwards, he kept himself out of the public eye and left social media.

However he made a brief return in 2020 to show off a very different, shaved head look. Perfect if he was ever going to audition for the part of Lex Luthor in Superman.

Olivia Frazer

Olivia became one of the most hated cast members from the 2022 season due to her very nasty feud with Domenica Calarco.

During the show, Olivia exposed Dom for having an OF account, which left fans furious. She left the show with husband Jackson Lonie, and they seemed to be going strong until they split in August of the same year after 10 months together.

After the show, viewers still couldn't get over their hatred for Olivia and she was subjected to some vile trolling. She reckons she's the most trolled villain in the show history, which wouldn't be surprising, but she thinks it's because she's a woman.

She told Mamamia: "The general public is not going to hate the man more than they hate a woman."

Despite exposing her former co-star for having an OF account, she opened her own after the show came to an end. She claimed she'd earned about £241,000 in her first few months with the account, which is still active now.

At one point she moved to Scotland for a man, however it ended in tears when she discovered he'd been cheating on her.

Dan Webb

Shock... another from season six. Dan had been paired with Tamara Joy, but ditched her for Jessika Power.

He kept a low profile after the show, until he made headlines after being dragged into an alleged multi-million dollar telemarketing scam.

In 2021, two years after his season, he was charged with fraud alongside 10 others.

Fast forward to 2023, and it appeared the case was still ongoing, as he returned to court to try and change his bail agreement, so he could travel overseas for a wedding.

As of now, there doesn't seem to be any resolution, at least when it comes to Dan.

Daniel Holmes

Daniel was also part of a partner swap scandal, ditching Jessica Seracino for Dio Gianarelli's wife Carolina Santos in season nine.

They wanted to continue their relationship on the show, but the experts decided against it. Surprisingly, they continued dating for a while but split in August 2022.

Daniel had a short-lived career on OF, making around £48,000 in nine months.

He also took on Harrison Boon in a boxing match, and won by three points.

Since then he's kept a low profile and as of now his Instagram has been wiped of all uploads.

But this time last year, he did go on a bit of a rant about tap water, claiming it was "poison" and caused people to have "a child with six arms" because "theres that much micro-plastics in it". He even claimed it was linked to autism.
